Kyivstar Group’s Uklon Closes Acquisition of Ukrainian E-Scooter Operator e-Wings
Deal expands Kyivstar Group's digital ecosystem into micromobility, marking Uklon’s first M&A transaction
Kyiv, Ukraine, August 7, 2026 -- Kyivstar Group Ltd. (Nasdaq: KYIV; KYIVW), the parent company of JSC Kyivstar ("Kyivstar"), Ukraine's leading digital operator, today announced that Uklon, Ukraine's leading ride-hailing and delivery platform and part of Kyivstar's digital ecosystem, has closed a deal to acquire 100% of the operator e-Wings. The transaction was valued at UAH 97.6 million before adjustments.
The acquisition deepens Kyivstar’s digital ecosystem strategy, adding a new mobility layer to a platform already used daily by millions of Ukrainians for transport, delivery, and payments. Uklon’s platform already spans ride-hailing, delivery, advertising, bus ticketing, and e-commerce, and now adds a new micromobility vertical, Uklon Scooters, to that portfolio.
“Uklon’s acquisition of e-Wings is a clear example of how Kyivstar’s digital ecosystem strategy creates value beyond connectivity. By backing Uklon's move into micromobility, we are helping build a broader platform of digital services that meets more of our users’ everyday needs, while strengthening one of Ukraine's most dynamic digital businesses,” said Oleksandr Komarov, President of Kyivstar Group.
“This deal is a milestone moment for Uklon: for the first time in our history, we are scaling through M&A, and we are doing so deliberately, choosing a direction that strengthens our digital ecosystem within the Kyivstar Group family of businesses. Uklon Scooters will become another touchpoint with users in daily urban mobility,” said Serhiy Hryshkov, CEO of Uklon.
To lead the new business line, e-Wings co-founder Roman Motruk has been appointed Head of Micromobility, where he will drive the sector's strategic development and build synergies across Uklon’s broader ecosystem.
Oleh Bilyi, e-Wings co-founder and former head of operations, becomes Head of Micromobility Operations, overseeing day-to-day operational processes. The unit will report to Vadym Ishchenko, Chief Operating Officer of Uklon, who leads growth of new products and services across the ecosystem. During the transition period, e-scooter rentals will continue to run through the existing e-Wings app across all 11 cities where the service operates.
“Joining the Uklon ecosystem represents a fundamentally new level for our team. I am confident that combining our seven years of operational experience with Uklon’s powerful brand and resources will make moving around the city even more convenient for users,” said Roman Motruk, Head of Micromobility at Uklon.
